Payment, Shipping & Returns

What payments methods are accepted?

We offer a variety of payment methods through the familiar and trusted PayFast interface. These include:

  • Credit & cheque cards (MasterCard and Visa)
  • ATM debit cards (via Visa Electron and Maestro)
  • Instant EFT (via popular South African banks: FNB, ABSA, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Capitec Bank and Investec)
What is the Perfect Pets returns policy?

Our Satisfaction Guarantee: We’re so confident you’ll love our products, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Don’t like something you bought? Tell us about it within 7 days of receipt, and we’ll be happy to issue a suitable replacement, or a full refund.

Criteria to return an item:

  • Bring it to our attention. Return must be logged within 7 days of item being delivered (email orders@perfectpets.co.za)
  • The item is in a re-sellable condition
  • The item being returned qualifies for return
  • The item is in its original packaging, with labels attached
When does the return policy not apply?

If the item is:

  • older than 7 days
  • opened, unsealed, used or missing any accessories
  • a digital product such as an eBook, electronic voucher, gaming code or other digital downloads;
  • an audio or video recording or computer software that has been unsealed;
  • a beauty product or fragrance which has been used;
  • a product which has been personalised or made to your specifications.
What if the item I bought is damaged / defective?

Perfect Pets ensures that all products are of high quality when they are shipped to customers. If you notify us within 7 days of damage to your goods occurring on delivery of your order, you can return it to us at no charge and, if stock is available, we will do our best to immediately arrange a replacement. If your return request falls within this policy and is deemed eligible for a return, we will:

  • replace the correct product to you (if the correct product is available) or;
  • credit your account with the purchase price of the product or;
  • refund you with the purchase price of the product.

The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section

  • faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
  • damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
  • damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion;
  • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
  • damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product;
  • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you
What is the standard warranty?

If you have received a product which turns out to be defective or otherwise of poor quality, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware of the defect or poor quality, but in any event within 6 months after delivery / collection of the product.

What if I change my mind about my purchase?

If you have changed your mind about a product you bought from us, you can return it to us at no charge, provided that:

  • you request a return within 7 days of receiving your order
  • it is undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached;
  • it is in the original packaging, which must be undamaged and in its original condition with all seals still intact
  • it is not missing any accessories or parts;
  • If your return request falls within this policy and is deemed eligible for a return, once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice either:
  • deliver the correct product to you (if the correct product is available) or;
  • credit your account with the purchase price of the product or;
  • refund you with the purchase price of the product.
Can I cancel my order?

You are entitled to cancel your order prior to the point at which you receive a notification that it is being shipped for delivery. Should you wish to return the product thereafter, you can do so in accordance with our Returns Policy.

What are my delivery options?

We only make use of courier services and PostNet. We deliver directly to your home or office, anywhere in South Africa. All delivery and tracking details are supplied to you at checkout.

What will shipping/delivery cost me?

Nothing if you spend R500 or more! For orders less than this value, the amount will be calculated during checkout, based on your address provided.

When will I receive my order?

We process orders within 24 hours of receiving payment confirmation, on weekdays from 8am to 5pm. Depending on where you are in South Africa, and which warehouse your order is being fulfilled from, you will receive your order within 2 – 5 working days of payment.
